Vision services benefit

Vision care is provided through Vision Service Plan (VSP) providers. All members can have eye exams every two years. Members who have been diagnosed with diabetes should get an eye exam every year. When you call for your appointment, tell your provider you have diabetes.

Gold Coast Health Plan (GCHP) covers:

  • A routine eye exam once every two years. GCHP may approve further services as medically necessary.
  • Eyeglasses (frames and lens) once every two years.
  • Contact lenses when required for medical conditions such as aphakia, aniridia and keratoconus.

For more information, call VSP at 1-800-877-7195. If you use a TTY, call 1-800-428-4833.
