GCHP has free language assistance services for members with limited English skills. It is discouraged to use a family member or friend as an interpreter during your doctor's visits.
If you need interpreting and translating services:
- Have your doctor ask for an interpreter and/or translator for your next visit.
- Give three to five days of notice when you make an appointment.
Call your doctor at least two days in advance to cancel.
To get language assistance, call GCHP's Member Services Department at 1-888-301-1228, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or email CulturalLinguistics@goldchp.org. If you use a TTY, call 1-888-310-7347.
